Thinking skills are techniques to assist in drawing conclusions in our often confusing and overwhelming world. These run from traditional Western ideas of logical analysis and critical thinking to creativity and imagination tools.

My own particular interest is in problem finding, first of all. Problem solving is important, and well-suited to an engineering mindset, but engineers who solve the wrong problem often cause society-wide grief. Therefore I care much more about problem finding.
