From Dan Shearer CV

I have a few teaching tools and scenarios I find handy. All of them involve areas I am not particularly expert in myself but can usually solve. Key technical skills of observation, following instructions, intuitive guesses are all important.

The thing I find most difficult to impart are beyond technical and into technological. How can we assess a technology stack? Why is one component better than another? Where should we care about biology, physics, mechanical/civil engineering or chemistry? When should we assess that the psychological or social factors make technical excellent irrelevant?
